There are many different recipes for peanut noodles, but this one is probably the easiest I have tried and it is very tasty as well.

This recipe uses a nonstick pan and just enough water to cook and moisten the noodles, unlike ramen soup which is eaten in broth.

Not only is it easy but is a very cheap meal idea.

This recipe is easily enough for two servings. If you are eating alone, you can save some for later.

For this recipe, gather:

  • 2 packets of ramen noodles
  • Peanut butter and tahini (if you have some)
  • Sesame oil
  • Soy sauce
  • Honey
  • Banana Peppers, celery, and onion (if you have them)
  • Garlic powder, salt and pepper

How to prepare:

Put your two packets (170 grams) of ramen noodles into a nonstick pan:

Add 1 tablespoon peanut butter and 1 tablespoon tahini (or use 2 tablespoons of peanut butter) and 1 tablespoon honey. I found that tahini was milder in flavor, but you may like the stronger peanut butter flavor.

Add 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 tablespoon sesame oil:

Add 1 ½ cups water (add up to 2 cups if you would like):

Turn on the heat. When the mixture starts to boil, stir and mix. (Add celery, green pepper, and green onion if you have them). Then cover.

I cooked for about 3 minutes with the lid, however, I checked periodically to make sure it did not start to stick, and also to stir it up a little. (If you do not use a nonstick pan, please make sure you stir them constantly or they will stick to the bottom and burn… trust me on that!)

Eat immediately.

So easy and good!
